Wreath-laying events to honor service members

The Oro Fino Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is sponsoring a Wreaths Across America ceremony 10 a.m. Dec. 9 in the Montana State Capitol Rotunda. Everyone is welcome to attend the free event.

The Oro Fino Chapter is also sponsoring a discount on wreaths to be laid at the State Veterans Cemetery in a ceremony Dec. 14.

Wreaths Across America was founded in 2007 to expand an annual program to lay wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery, according to a statement provided by Oro Fino Chapter representative Jane Hamman of Clancy.
