That happened quickly! The spring sports schedule is nearly wrapped up, and the post-season is underway. Jefferson High’s golf squads were competing in the divisional tournament in Eureka this Monday and Tuesday; action wasn’t complete by the time The Monitor went to press. The track and field teams will travel to Belgrade on Thursday for the District 5B meet; and after hosting the Panther Open this Saturday, the tennis team will be at Divisionals in Butte next week.

In their final tune-up before the post-season, the track and field squads joined a quad meet in Corvallis last week. The girls won their competition with 47 points, besting Corvallis, Missoula Loyola and Salmon. The boys took second with 60 points, trailing only Class A Corvallis.

The Lady Panthers delivered a strong all-around performance. In the 100 meters, Allie Muffick led the sprint trio with a 3rd-place finish in 13.65 seconds. She was followed by Maddy Averill in 7th place, clocking 14.12, and Erica Shields, who finished 9th at 15.01. In the 200, Parker Layng secured a 4th-place finish with a time of 29.96.
