Winter sports begin at JHS

Now it’s time for wrestling and girls’ and boys’ basketball at Jefferson High School. The teams have been practicing since the 15th of November with big numbers out for all the teams.

The wrestlers will look to defend their division title of last year and, in what looks like the first year in many, the team will be able to compete in every weight class. They start their season at Cascade on November 30 and December 1. They will host a mixer on December 6 at JHS.

The basketball teams will see their first action on December 7-8 at the Three Forks tournament. The varsity and JV teams will compete in Three Forks, while the C girls will compete in the Manhattan tournament those same two days, playing one game in Manhattan and one at Manhattan Christian.
