A new student at Montana State University in Bozeman was the lucky winner of $500 from the “Discover Your Boulder Moment” contest.
Lacey Clark’s name was drawn at the Boulder Area Chamber of Commerce Music and Arts Festival in early September.
The contest was part of promotional effort conducted jointly by the chamber and the Boulder Transition Advisory Committee. Rack cards high- lighting attractions and events in Boulder were printed and distributed around Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Funding for the printing and distribution came from a SouthWest Montana grant with a 50 percent local match.
The rack cards included an entry form offering a $500 prize to one lucky entrant who returned the entry form to a participating Boulder business. Fewer than a dozen entries were returned. According to project organizers, the intent of the contest entry was to gauge the reach and success of the project. Organizers, who must submit a report to SouthWest Montana, have not met since the drawing to evaluate the project.
