Who will buy Buzzy McCauley’s pie?

     When the bidding opens at this year’s baked goods benefit auction on Saturday night, one notable participant will be absent.

     For years, Marilyn “Buzzy” McCauley has put her prized pies up for bid. And year after year, the winning bidder has always been her father, Mick McCauley — who was known for spending a thousand dollars or more to make sure he got his daughter’s pies. 

     McCauley, a longtime rancher and former president of the Jefferson County Rodeo Association, died in early May at the age of 90.
