Two deaths investigated

Two deaths in Jefferson County in the past three weeks have led to law enforcement investigations.

The first was a rollover of a side-by-side UTV on the Elkhorn Road just past Queen Siding on October 13. Driver Ryan Renner, 40, was killed in the accident and a passenger was injured and transported to the hospital. The accident was reported just after 6 p.m. The cause of the accident was under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.

Another death from unknown causes was reported to law enforcement by relatives of the deceased. The body of 29-year-old Nathan Jerome was found in a small camp trailer in Jefferson County near East Helena. The body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
