Mission Statement: The Jefferson County Genealogy and Heritage Center, Corp, AKA The Heritage Center, is a nonprofit 501c (3). Our mission is to preserve, promote, and share Jefferson County genealogy, history, and culture. We will accomplish this mission through collecting and preserving material that may help to establish or illustrate the history and culture of the area and all its people; providing for the cataloging and preservation of such material; educating the community, especially the youth: assisting with genealogical research and ensuring public access to the complete collection.
