The Jefferson High drama program will present “The Big Sandy” Feb. 20 and 21 at the high school. The one-act comedy, written by JHS drama teacher Mike Hesford, is based on the true story in 1970 of a military jet that lost control during a training exercise, forcing the pilot to eject. The plane landed, miraculously, in a hayfield outside of Big Sandy, MT. The play centers around a farmer, his family and the townspeople trying to make sense of what landed in their worlds. Show time is 7 p.m. both evenings. Tickets are $4 for students and seniors and $6 for adults; teachers, veterans and former JHS thespians are free.
