Students at JHS walk-out do not condemn guns

Although they joined thousands of other high school students across the nation in a walk-out March 14, several Jefferson High students emphasized that they were not in support of banning semi-automatic rifles or raising the age to buy them.

The walk-out was organized to bring attention to the February 14 Parkland school shooting that killed 17 people in Florida. The shooter used an AR-15.

“It’s not the guns that’s the problem. It’s the people behind them,” said Griffin Bullock.
