Student group promotes safe, sober driving

The JHS chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) was awarded a Montana Department of Transportation Vision Zero Grant to hold a vehicle safety fair during the annual orientation event to educate students on how to be safe drivers and passengers.

The group’s fair featured a photo booth, tire changing and tire air pressure booth, cup stacking with impaired goggles, and an obstacle course with impaired goggles.

“We plan to make this a yearly event that grows every year,” teacher Cassidy Parsons said by email. “We hope to instill the Vision Zero message into our community: ‘Zero Deaths, Zero Serious Injuries on Montana Highways.’”
