Jefferson High School is starting the school year with large numbers of athletes: football has 44 practicing, volleyball has 38, cross country has 13 and cheerleading has 14. Practice started on Friday, August 10.

The first cross country meet of the season will be in Boulder on August 25. Start time is 9:30 a.m. The first football game is Saturday August 25 when they play Florence in Missoula at the U of M football stadium at 2:00 p.m. The volleyball girls will be in Manhattan the same day, August 25, for the Manhattan quad starting at 9:00 a.m. On Monday, August 27, the JV football team will host Florence with a 4 p.m. start time.

The volleyball teams will play in Belgrade on Friday, August 31, where the Panther varsity will play the Belgrade JV team and the Livingston varsity team. Football will travel to Shepherd for a 7:00 p.m. game that evening.
