Spring sports started last week with the tennis team hosting Whitehall and Anaconda for a fun meet to get in some action after practicing for several weeks. Scores were not kept for the records but the girls got in some valuable playing time. The action will get going this Friday and Saturday when the Panthers travel to Great Falls for a large meet.

GOLF The golf teams did not compete as the young teams are feeling out the do’s and don’ts of the game. The Panthers will host a tournament this Thursday at Bill Roberts Golf Course. There will be around 10 schools participating in the meet with action starting at 9 a.m. or as soon as the frost goes off the grass. The varsity teams will compete in Townsend on Tuesday, April 11, starting at 9:30 a.m. JV golfers will be in Townsend on Wednesday the 12th for a noon start.

TRACK The track teams traveled to Dillon Saturday for the Sheridan meet. The team members were not all able to attend due to insufficient required practices and other conflicts. Those placing were Josh Eckmann, fourth in the triple jump at 38’ 1 1/2”, and second in the high jump at 6’; Avery Stiles, fourth in the high jump at 5’ 8”.
