Three Jefferson High athletes, all juniors, were honored recently by the Helena Independent Record. Named to the IR Super Team first team was Josh Eckmann. Second team selections included Noah Fader and Ellie Evertz.
Spring sports are ready to start, with the track and field teams traveling to Dillon this Saturday for the Sheridan meet. Start time is 9 a.m. The Panthers have a large contingent, with about 50 athletes practicing so far.
Tennis gets going Thursday at 1:30 p.m. when the Panthers host Whitehall and Anaconda.
The golf teams will not see action until April 6 when JHS hosts a golf tournament at Bill Roberts Golf Course in Helena. Start time is 9 a.m. The Balliln’ in Big Rock basketball tournament is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at JHS. The tourna- ment raises money for a variety of community causes.
