Senior party at The River

After completing their final day of classes at Jefferson High Thursday, seniors were invited to gather at Boulder River Pizza and Subs. The evening party, hosted by River owner Greg Hughes each spring, included free food, beverages and ice cream as well as cake. Students played pool in the game room and spent the evening socializing. One feature of the evening was prize giveaways. 

Approximately 25 prizes, ranging from purely fun items like a hula hoop, a supersoaker or a five-pound bag of M&Ms to gift certificates worth up to $50 were given away. The top prize of the night was a 32-inch TV. Students took turns each drawing one name out of a bucket, eliminating the name drawn from contention. 

The final name in the bucket – Ethan Zufelt – was the proud owner of the new television. Hughes said everyone seemed to have fun and most stayed until midnight.
