Responses to last week’s ‘Response’

Three responses to the March 5 edition of the Monitor:

First, thank you for the practical and thorough article, “Cautiously praising DOGE’s dizzying first days.”  I believe that Congress should never have let the debt happen in the first place. America should have tightened our belts and pocketbook decades ago. Unfortunately, today we are paying a difficult price to remedy it, but what is the alternative? Continue adding to the debt? I say no.

As for the letters on Ukraine: After watching the Oval Office meeting in its entirety, I am pleased that President Trump and Vice President Vance are focused on America and drawing the line with Ukraine’s President Zelensky. As with the debt, it’s about time.
