‘Reimagining’ returns seeking new voices

A returning rural renewal program saw limited turnout at its first City Hall gathering last week – reviving area concerns about engagement fatigue.

Back in Boulder for the third time in five years, the program, Reimagining Rural, seeks to encourage civic brainstorming and cultivate small-scale projects to spur economic development.

Organized by the MSU Extension Community Vitality Program in partnership with the Montana Community Foundation (MCF) and the Boulder Area Chamber of Commerce, the program plans three February events. At the first, on Feb. 4, just three locals unassociated with the Chamber, MCF, or Community Heart & Soul, another ongoing revitalization program, turned out.
