Raynger Schake

RAYNGER SCHAKE has been playing ice hockey since he was four: “My brother played, and I always wanted to do it.” That worked out well: This year, playing center for the Helena High club team, Schake notched seven goals and four assists. He’s also played on the Montana Selects, a statewide travel squad. Next season, rather than entering the  junior hockey ranks, he’ll go to Montana Tech, which just restarted its hockey program in 2023 after a four-year gap. “I thought I’d have more fun with it there,” Schake said.
