American Rescue Plan Act (APRA)
PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
American Rescue Plan includes funding $2,370,188 for Jefferson County over a two-year period. A public meeting will be held in person (or via a Zoom – meeting link: zoom.com/join meeting ID: 617-828-8589) at the Boulder Fairgrounds in Volunteer Hall at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 6th to review a draft county budget proposal.
Allowable uses for the funds are:
1. Respond to or mitigate the public health emergency with respect to the COVID-19 emergency or its negative economic impacts, including assistance to households, small businesses, and nonprofits, or aid to impacted industries such as tourism, travel, and hospitality.
2. Provide government services to the extent of the reduction in revenue due to the public health emergency.
3. Make necessary investments in water, sewer, or broadband infrastructure.
4. Respond to workers performing essential work during the COVID-19 public health emergency by providing premium pay to eligible workers of the county that are performing such essential work, or by providing grants to eligible employers that have eligible workers who perform essential work.
