Price for improved internet access more than projected

If it sounds too good to be true…

After a presentation a week earlier where they were told the entire community of Boulder could have high speed internet access at reasonable prices at little expense to them, the Jefferson County Commissioners learned the figures quoted were not exactly right.

Representatives of Montana Internet urged the county to give them a chance to provide internet services at up to one gigabit per second as early as this fall. Asking the county to call for bids on internet services to the county government, they said the faster service would cost about $3500 to $3800 per month compared to the $2500 the county was already paying.
