Pipe bursts, freezes Legal Tender

Cold weather wreaked its havoc on the Legal Tender Pub and Bistro when a frozen pipe showered water throughout the restaurant’s kitchen and banquet room over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The busted pipe caused between $10,000 and $12,000 in damage, wrecking the kitchen and soaking the banquet room’s floors, according to owner Eric Stickline.

The pipes have been repaired and the floors are being dried, but Stickline said Legal Tender’s dining room will not reopen.
