Panthers take two wins in low-scoring games

Scoring only 64 points total in two games, the Jefferson High Panthers still managed to pull out two wins this week.

The boys struggled to find the hoop, managing only one double digit quarter across the eight quarters played. But they held their opponents to no double digit quarters and won 35-27 over Deer Lodge and 29-25 over Townsend.

Before the JHS boys could get a ball to fall Friday against Deer Lodge, the Wardens collected six points. Bryce Harrington finally got the Panthers on the scoreboard with 2:56 left in the quarter, and he alone kept the Panther scoring going for a time. At the end of the first quarter the Panthers had moved into a 7-6 lead compliments of a bucket, an old-fashioned three and a pair of free throws by Harrington.
