Panthers continue their winning ways

It was another great week of sports at Jefferson High School. The football team beat Shepherd 18-14, the volleyball girls played Belgrade close and beat Livingston and Big Timber, and the cross country kids ran well at Twin Bridges. 

CROSS COUNTRY In Twin Bridges Hunter Henchel took 12th with a time of 20:23. Teammate Gabe Gilmore came in 17th in 20:59, followed by Andy Johnson at 18th in 21.08. Hunter Gilbert (23rd in 22:34), Drew McManus (28th in 23:40), Christian Davis (31st in 23:59), Dominick Davis (34th in 25:48), and JP Robson (35th in 25:56) finished up the Panther team, the largest team in quite some time. 

For the Lady Panthers, Grace Alexander finished 9th in 24:42, Lauran Armstrong 11th in 25:29, and Abbi Scupala 15th in 27:54. Team scores were not available at press time. This week the “Hoofers” will be at Pony for the Harrison meet. Start time is 9 a.m.
