Panthers bounce back against Big Timber

After a devastating blow from the Broadwater Bulldogs on Thursday, the Lady Panthers volleyball team bounced back to take down the Big Timber Sheepherders.

The Panthers opened strong with a first set win 25-16 and a second set win of 25-13. After a nail-biting rally between the two schools, Big Timber claimed the third set 18-25.

The Lady Panthers battled back to the top by wrapping up the match with a fourth set score of 25-15.

Sophomore Cameron Toney and junior Arena Faler led the team with 14 kills each. Faler and junior Clara Genger also led the team with five blocks.

Senior Emma McCauley, in her 2022 season debut as libero for the Panthers, racked up 26 digs throughout the match. Junior MacKenzie Layng, setter for the panthers, had 22 sets and one ace.

Junior Maria West served one ace in the match against Big Timber. Other players assisting the Panthers in their win were freshman Ryian Eveland, junior Natasha Martin, junior Madelynn Averill, senior Jessie Harris, junior Haleigh Henschel, sophomore Avery Popp and senior Brooke Eveland.
