Organization offers higher education funding for women

Chapter O of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) in Helena has funding available for women in Jefferson and Lewis and Clark counties who would like to further their education.

“Education is so important, and it’s particularly important to me, as a woman and as a mother of daughters, that women become self-sufficient,” Chapter O member Concetta Eckel said in a recent phone interview.

PEO is an international organization that awards women scholarships, grants and loans for pursuing a college degree.
