One pass, one fail for Montana City school levies

Montana City voters approved one school levy to increase general funding and rejected another to boost tech funding for district schools, according to preliminary results.

With all ballots counted, a measure to increase Montana City School’s General Fund received 657 affirmative votes, about 53 percent, and 590 votes against. A measure to increase the school’s Technology Fund barely failed, getting 638 against and 606 in favor.

The General Fund levy will increase by about $48,000, while the tech levy would have increased by about $70,000 since it was last passed by voters a decade ago.
