On Pack the House night, Panthers sweep Broadwater

In the old days of high school basketball, to show my age, girls played half-court offense and defense. It was pretty boring to watch, and it produced some very one-sided games.

But I doubt even those could compare to the Lady Panthers’ 67-9 trouncing last Friday of Manhattan Christian, the most lopsided victory I’ve witnessed at Jefferson High. Definitely one for the record books.

From the opening tip, Jefferson played at full throttle. KK Morris opened the scoring with a three-pointer, Parker Layng followed with another from long range, and the Panthers were off and running. With Morris and Layng continuing to score and Kodee Cummings adding to the surge, Jefferson jumped out to a 17-7 lead after one quarter.
