I would like to respond to the person condemning Senator Daines and Representative Zinke for not wanting to let Palestinian refugees into the country (Letters, Nov. 22).
The first thing that should be noted is that stable Arab countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Emirates won’t let in Palestinian refugees because they are familiar with terror groups involved in the war. The leader of Iran has already stated the United States would be brought down from within, and that in itself should tell you something. If the U.S. brought these people into the country, it would be bringing in the enemy who wants us destroyed. You see what damage was done on 9/11 by 19 terrorists, just think what several thousand could do.
These attacks are nothing new. During the 1972 Summer Olympics, Palestinian terrorists attacked and killed 11 Israelis with the whole world watching. They have killed and beheaded aid workers, news correspondents, and medical persons who were trying to help Arab people.
