North County fire departments cash in on ARPA funds

ARPA funds have provided organizations throughout Jefferson County with surprise funding and the North County fire departments have taken advantage of the bonus cash allowing them to cover the costs of much-needed projects.

All three North County fire departments received $7,500 in ARPA funds allocated by Jefferson County through the Jefferson Local Development Corporation.

Clancy Fire Chief Tracy Leibbrandt said the department planned to use a portion to pay for secure Zoom accounts, which allow members to attend business meetings remotely.
