My, how things have changed…

When Brigid Reedy first took to the Boulder music festival stage, she was barely big enough to draw the tip of her bow across the strings with her arm fully extended. In her 2010 appearance, at left, she yodeled some, sang some, accompanied her dad some, and danced as her father tossed her in the air. This year, at age 16 she was joined on stage by her younger brother Johnny, who has become an accomplished singer and musician in his own right.

Both Reedys expertly handled a wide array of tunes and earned some of the most enthusiastic applause of the weekend. While she may have grown enough to match the height of her adult dance partners, some things have not changed at all. Brigid Reedy still delights the crowd and shares a genuine joy from the stage that occasionally bubbles out in an infectious giggle.
