Montana City School guides long look at district budget

The Montana City School District is leading community members through a long look at the district budget.

Leading up to its August adoption of a final budget for the 2018-29 school year, the school board is hosting a series of discussions about school budgets. The first installment of the series took place at the December 14 board meeting and focused on “How Recent Legislative Decisions Will Impact Our School Budgets and Local Taxes.”

The series continues in January with a discussion on how much revenue the district receives, funding sources, how it is spent, how salaries and benefits impact the budget, how technology is paid for, and how buildings are financed and maintained.
