Michael Jellison, 60, of Basin

Michael “Mike’ Jellison was born on May 2, 1963 to William Jellison and Judith Frank. He spent his youth growing up in Montana, graduating from Boulder High School in 1982. He joined the United States Army that same year at the age of 19. He spent four years on active duty, then joined the Reserves for another seven years, going active duty when needed.

Mike met the love of his life in 1977, and he and Bonnie married on Dec. 27, 1983. They began their marriage at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, WA,  returning to Basin three years later. From 1987 to 2002, they lived in Billings while Mike and his older brother Monty owned and operated a gravel mine.

Mike called Basin home from 2002-2023. He passed away there on Oct. 13, with his wife by his side.
