Manhattan takes football title; all-state announced

The state football championships played out last weekend, and in Class B, it came down to Manhattan and Three Forks, just 17 miles apart and both of them Jefferson High rivals in District 5B.

Manhattan was runner-up in both 2023 and 2024, and it went undefeated this year, handing Three Forks its only loss during the regular season. And in the final, the Tigers finished the job, beating the Wolves, 28-7. Congratulations to Manhattan for finally taking the crown, and to Three Forks for a great year.

All state and all-conference selections were announced after the championships. For Jefferson, quarterback Tyzer Zody was named all-state, and Zody, Wences Martinez, Cooper Mikesell, Caleb Morris and Hilton Rivera were chosen for 2nd team all-conference.
