Lorna E. (Ulsher) Barry of Montana City died in her home, surrounded by her family, on Aug. 4, 2023. She was 82 years old.
Lorna was born on Oct., 1940 in Helena to Andrew and Mabel (TenEyck) Ulsher. She was the fifth of eight children. She attended grade school in Basin and graduated from Jefferson High School in Boulder in 1958.
Lorna married Harold Barry on November 17, 1958 in Butte. They were married 64 years at the time of her death.
In 1962, she began her employment at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, retiring after 37 years. After retiring, she and Harold enjoyed many winters in Arizona.
Lorna is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Katherine (Molly)Gill, Beverly Jessop and Arla Gasser; a brother, Bruce Ulsher; a daughter, Becky Benson; and a granddaughter, Karrah Barry-Dion.
Lorna is survived by her husband, Harold Barry; sons Todd Barry (Leslie) and Troy Barry; and a daughter, Vicki Barry-Dion (Wayne. Also, grandchildren Colin Barry-Dion, Keeley Barry-Dion, Shelbi Grove, Teagon Barry, Kahsiah Benson and Ethan Barry; great-grandchildren Braden Barry, Tilly Dion; brothers David and Andrew (Butch) Ulsher; and sister Deniece VanDusen.
