North Jefferson County Public Libraries will receive a much anticipated delivery of items including new chairs and tables on Sept. 28, courtesy of a $4,000 ARPA grant allocated to the district to address the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the libraries.

The district board invites all staff and patrons to celebrate the delivery of items on Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Clancy library and at 1:45 p.m. at the Montana City library.

Items scheduled for delivery include stackable children’s chairs and a table, five ergonomically correct adult computer chairs and monitor risers, three UV+ air medical-grade sanitizers with HEPA and carbon filters, various sanitation supplies and bins for easy-reader books.

The grant also helped fund the purchase of children and young adult books, audiobooks and movies as well as adult fiction and non-fiction books, audiobooks and movies. North Jefferson County Public Library District Board Chair Jane Hamman said these purchases were reduced during COVID to make funds available for purchasing masks, disinfectants and other supplies.

“We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate,” Hamman said.
