Jury awards Whitehall man $20,000 in lawsuit against Wells Fargo Bank

A man whose Whitehall house was mistakenly labeled as up for foreclosure was awarded $20,000 last week in a trial against Wells Fargo Bank.

That was far less than the more than $165,000 Kevin Moore requested in his lawsuit.

Moore, who was a special education teacher in Whitehall for 17 years, was living in Alaska when an agent of the bank, AIM Your Way, changed the front door lock on Moore’s Whitehall house as part of a foreclosure process that was supposed to be on a different home. Over the next several months, AIM workers entered the home to inspect it and winterize it.
