The Boulder junior high wrestling team participated at the Belgrade Middle School Mixer on Tuesday, February 21. Competing for Boulder were John Price, Cole Jeske, Jeyden Sullivan, Hunter Steele, Matthew Travis and Caleb Allen. Four out of six wrestlers won by pin in the first round: Price, Sullivan, Steele and Allen.
In the second round the Boulder team managed to get half their wrestlers winning by pin: Jeske, Allen and Travis. Caleb Allen was a perfect 2-0 on the evening and every Boulder wrestler won at least one match by pin.
At the Townsend Mixer on Thursday, February 23 five wrestlers suited up for Boulder: John Price, Cole Jeske, Hunter Steele, Matthew Travis and Caleb Allen. Three rounds of competition were wrestled. Travis and Allen won by pin during the first round of competition. In the second round Boulder really got on a roll as Steele, Travis and Allen won by pin and Jeske won by a 7-5 decision. Unfortunately after a great second round the third round produced only one victory for the young Panthers as Caleb Allen won by pin and emerged as the only Boulder wrestler to go undefeated on the evening.
