JHS opens hearts and wallets at Homecoming

Homecoming. The word evokes feelings of community, caring and family.

Jefferson High’s 2018 Homecoming did more than evoke those feelings. It translated to action.

In two days of appeals to sporting event crowds, the Booster Club raised $1974 for a family that had just received bad news. For the second time, the mother of a JHS football player and his five siblings had been diagnosed with cancer. She would be traveling out-of-state for treatment, the fans heard.
