The Jefferson High School wrestling team hosted its annual early-season mixer on Dec. 12, with Cascade and Powell County Deer Lodge visiting the gym in Boulder. 12.
The Panthers suited up 15 wrestlers for the mixer, where wrestlers are matched up against opponents in their weight class and no team scores are kept. In the first round, Mason Mikesell, Cooper Mikesell, Mike Richard, Megan Anderson, Steven Agge, Brady Armstrong and Kolbe Michaud all won by pin.
In the second round, Emma Jurkovac, Korbin Rintamaki, Sophia Ahkivgak, Cooper Mikesell, Richard, Blake Nordlinder, Armstrong and Brayden Tarr had their hands raised for the win — again, all by pin. Owen Mikesell, Andrew Rodriguez and Madison Neely also suited up for the Panthers.
