JeffCo reports first cluster of COVID-19 cases

The number of active COVID-19 cases increased significantly over the weekend, with 21 reported as of Monday morning by the Jefferson County Public Health Department.

That number fell to 17 on Tuesday as some were moved to the recovered category.

The jump in numbers is being attributed to the county’s first cluster, and it is in a residential facility, according to the Public Health Department. A cluster is defined as “an aggregation of cases grouped in place and time,” according to the Public Health Department.
