Jasper, 12, Hot Springs fixture

On Apr. 11, 2024 our beloved friend, family member and Boulder Hot Springs greeter, Jasper the cat, journeyed to the other side.

10 years ago Jasper showed up on the doorstep of the Hot Springs. He began his journey cautiously around the two-legged humans he encountered. This gradually progressed into walks with those who invited him on hikes to the Seven Generations and beyond. No one was a stranger to Jasper and he enjoyed the abundance of attention showered upon him.

Of course, Jasper gave us much more than he received. He has left each of us who knew him a lasting legacy as the Boulder Hot Springs greeter. His generous welcoming spirit is missed by residents, staff and the many visitors who delighted in his presence.
