INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for construction of Jefferson High Track Improvements Project will be received by the Jefferson High School District #1, 312 South Main, Boulder, MT 59632 until 2:00 p.m. local time on April 177, 2025 and then publicly opened and read aloud.
The project generally consists of: installation of 5,361 SY of asphalt pavement section and synthetic track surfacing, installation of storm in-line drains and 1,192 LF of PVC storm pipe, grading of 11,101 SY of infield area and placement of sod, construction and grading of javelin runway, construction of 296 LF of jumping pit runway with 131 SY of synthetic track surfacing; construction of 130 LF of pole vault runway with 58 SY of synthetic track surfacing; construction of 3,098 LF of vertical curbing, planting, seeding, landscaping and irrigation installation of disturbed area and miscellaneous associated items.
The contract documents consisting of drawings and project manual may be examined at the Jefferson High School administration office, 312 South Main, Boulder, MT 59632. Contract documents are available at montanabid.com printed copies of the bid documents are not available from the ENGINEER or OWNER.
There will be a Pre-Bid Conference at the Jefferson High School commons, 312 South Main, Boulder, MT, 59632 at 4:00 p.m. on April 10, 2025. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend.
The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Jefferson High School District #1, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, or Cash in Lieu of Bond as described in the Contract Documents. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate of that insurance shall be provided.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids.
The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER.
