Do you ever wonder why people are the way they are? Some are kind, humble, helpful, caring. Others are proud, arrogant, selfish, controlling. Are you an introvert or extrovert? Are you Type A or Type B, left brain or right brain, creative or pragmatic?

Back in high school, I remember taking an aptitude test that was meant to provide some indication of my optimal future career. As I recall, mine said I should be an accountant. I went on to be an engineer. But now, 50-some-odd years later, what am I doing? I’m the part-time bookkeeper for my church. Go figure.

I doubt anyone has ever gotten a test result that informed them, “You should be a petty thief,” or “You should join a gang,” or even “You are best suited to be an egotistical narcissist.”
