Hoops, drama and vapes: the school day is packed

What an exciting time to be a Panther! Both our girls’ and boys’ basketball teams have qualified for the divisional tournament in Billings this weekend. Mr. Hesford’s drama class has produced yet another great performance, with a student-directed play called “The 11 Worst Breakups of All Time.” And we are getting much closer to having the new building addition completed.

The school now has vape sensors in all the bathrooms. Vaping has become rampant among teens, and we are fighting a losing battle in trying to keep them out of school. With the vape sensors, we get a text and an email whenever the sensors are activated. This gives us the opportunity to catch students vaping on school property and allows us to confiscate the vape. 

It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to possess a vape, and for anyone to use a vape on school property, including in the parking lot. We also ask that adults not vape in the school restrooms; we still get the notices on our phones, and it is illegal.
