Ho, ho & No, no! A trip to the North Pole

Scores of preschool youngsters made their way to the Boulder Community Library December 19 to share their holiday wishes with Santa Claus. The day included stories and treats, whispered wishes and confidently pronounced requests. It also included some wishes by the little ones that they did not have to be there with this stranger in a big white beard and red suit.

For some, having Mom nearby was security enough. For others, if Mom would just hold on, talking to Santa from there was bearable. Still others could not have cared less whether Mom was even in the building.Santa stuck around for visits with grade school children, who generally were more comfortable and more certain about what they wanted him to bring on Christmas Eve.
