High school lockdown yields no contraband

Responding to rumors, law enforcement officers from the Boulder Police Department and Helena canine officers conducted a search at Jefferson High Thursday, May 11.

The roughly 45 minute search yielded no contraband, school officials said. Students were in classrooms during the search and no individual students were searched, said JHS Principal Greg Liedle. Lockers and public areas were searched, he said. After the search was completed, students were told the search had been conducted and no contraband had been found, said the principal.
