Losing a child is something of indescribable pain, leaving a void that seems impossible to fill. Kennady, our beautiful daughter, left this earth tragically this year, and a great part of us went with her.
We long for one more moment with her. One more big bear hug, one more tender kiss, one more beautiful smile. All we want is one more chance to tell her how beautiful she is, how her kindness and generosity is what makes her shine a light in so many people’s lives. One more chance to tell her how sweet and silly she is, how much her joy in life and love for family and friends is what makes her soul genuine and admirable. But even that one more time wouldn’t be enough. It seems an entire lifetime with Kennady wouldn’t be enough.
She was a strong, courageous, amazing human being. Her compassionate spirit inspired everyone to want to be a better influence in this world. All we can do now is treasure the moments we had with her. We live with the memories, and the hope that we can find her each day. We gather her things and hold them close. We close our eyes and imagine she is here with us. We look at pictures and study her face harder than ever and for a moment those pictures bring her to life once more. We find all the reasons to talk about her and tell stories of her.
