Greg Robson elected full-term Clancy fire chief

The Clancy Volunteer Fire Department elected Greg Robson its full-term chief at its first monthly business meeting of the year on Jan. 3.

The chief’s position had been vacant since September, when Tracy Leibbrandt, who had held the post for four years, abruptly resigned after he moved out of state. Robson was elected interim chief until the formal election of officers.

Robson will now serve a full two-year term as the department’s operations leader. He first joined the department in July, 1998, and has served as captain and training officer during those years. Dan Richter, who challenged Robson for the chief position, will continue to serve as the department’s captain.
