Ranchers Dave and & Alice Rieder are the 2024 Jefferson County Rodeo Association Grand Marshals.
Dave, a Boulder resident for 84 years, taught school for 10 years; he was the high school boys’ basketball coach for two years and also coached track & field and cross country.
Alice, a Boulder resident for 50 years, worked at the state school for about a year before marrying Dave and retreating to the ranch where they reside today. They have been married for 57 years.
Dave and Alice supported the fair and rodeo for many years, raising their children to take part in many events, some of which they still do presently. Alice was one of the first members of the Fair Board when it started and was a big part of getting the fair going.
We want to thank Dave and Alice for their agricultural stewardship, and for their time and effort making the Fair and Rodeo what they are today.
