Local group Growing Community Naturally has built a forest garden located on the north side of East Side Park. The garden is a low-maintenance, sustainable, plant-based food production system.
The goal of Growing Community Naturally is to create an educational demonstration site, as well as a beautiful woodland park – featuring edible landscaping available to the community.

Those interested can join the group for an upcoming work day: get outside, meet new people and build community!
The next community work day is Saturday, Sept. 23, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Those interested in attending should bring work gloves, plenty of water, a hat, sunscreen, gardening tools (optional) and a snack to share.
