A 9-year-old Boulder boy died Sunday afternoon after a utility vehicle crash on Sloan’s Lane north of Boulder.

As of press time, his name had not been released, but a Go Fund Me page had been started to help the family with expenses. The fund raising page, posted by a Boulder Elementary School teacher, described him as “such an amazing young boy with such a huge heart. He loved any and all animals, being outdoors, and playing with his older brother. He truly had a heart of gold. Unfortunately, he was taken too early from this world.”

By around noon Monday, the page at gofundme.com/trystan-memorial-fund had raised $1480 of a $5000 goal.

The crash was reported early Sunday afternoon. Investigators said the boy apparently drove off the right side of the road and overcorrected, tipping the vehicle and ejecting the boy. He was not wearing a seat belt or helmet, according to reports. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
